Last week’s release Tevar that was allotted around 2800-3000 screens
collected Rs. 7.05 crore approximately on it’s opening day. But the film
failed to perform well over the weekend as it could make only Rs. 7
crore approximately on Saturday. Nevertheless, it held to its single
screen audience as it saw a growth in the occupancy by 20% on Sunday
hence minting Rs. 8.10 crore approximately.
The film now stands at a total weekend collection of Rs. 22.15 crore approximately. This is way below the trade pundits had predicted for this glossy action-drama, as a lifetime collection of even Rs. 40 crore looks unattainable at this point.
This Friday’s release is Bipasha Basu’s Alone that looks promising on the single screen front. As the horror genre has always worked wonders for the actress and her on and off screen chemistry with co-star Karan Singh Grover is already a talk of the town.
Will Alone hinder Tevar’s already slow pace? Check this space for more box-office updates.
