Varun Dhawan, son of David Dhawan, who is one of the top most directors in the country, went to the United Kingdom to study Business Management from Nottingham Trent University. Very less people know that while he lived there, he even worked as a leaflet distributor for nightclubs. According to certain media reports, he even confessed to doing "many crazy things" while he was studying in the university there. We wonder what crazy things this young actor was upto while studying there?

Very less people know that Varun Dhawan is quite close to his brother Rohit Dhawan, who is already an accomplished director in the Hindi film industry. The Desi Boyz director has been a pillar of support for both father and son. Even the title of David Dhawan's comeback film Main Tera Hero has been inspired from the song Tu Mera Hero from Rohit's film Desi Boyz. Also, it was Rohit who suggested brother Varun's name for the film. Reportedly, Varun has earlier stated in his interviews that Rohit had sacrificed a lot for him.

Do you know Varun Dhawan is called Pappu by his father? Yes you read it right, Varun's nick name is Pappu. Also, Varun Dhawan has admitted to being a troublemaker as a child. In one of his media interviews he shared that he was ‘always naughty and up to some pranks’ in his childhood as well. Now, we understand why is Varun always a prankster on the sets and why he gets such roles and films like Main Tera Hero and Student of The Year. In both the films, Dhawan has played a mischievous college student, who is quite naughty and a spoilt brat.

In India, Sachin Tendulkar is next to Rajinikanth and is praised by one and all. And Varun is a big fan. No matter how big a star he himself is, we've heard even Varun got star-struck when he met the God of Cricket, as Sachin is generally referred to. Reportedly, they got to meet each other at the Coca-Cola under-15 football tournament final match. He got himself snapped with Tendulkar as any other youngster of his age would do on meeting him. It does not stop here. Both of them share the same birthdays as well.

While Varun Dhawan was shooting for the 'Palat ye tera hero idhar hai' song from his movie Main Tera Hero, he was mobbed by his fans in Bangalore. Reportedly, people had been waiting for hours before Varun had arrived for shooting and as soon as he stepped out of his vanity van, the crowds welcomed him with the loudest cheers. The situation got so worse that the security had to step in and take strict action. Shooting got delayed by four hours to arrange for barricading around the shooting spot to allow smooth functioning.
