Emraan Hashmi's Raja Natwarlala which released last Friday in 2000
screens across the country was able to bank only Rs. 6.10 crores on its
first day. Though the film started on a weak note, it was expected to do
better over the weekend. But against all assumptions, the numbers
dropped severely on the second day and nor did they get better on the
third. The film collected Rs. 5.15 crores on Saturday and Rs. 6.15
crores on Sunday. According to ongoing trends, Raja Natwarlal has failed
to impress the masses and will stutter around at 25 to 30 crores nett
lifetime collection. The film is facing tough competition from Rani
Mukerji's Mardaani which witnessed a decent second weekend at the box
office. A good word of mouth and no big releases along with it worked in
Mardaani’s favor. The film has so far collected Rs. 33.97 crores
worldwide.
